Read the rules at https://nearhackathon.com. The event runs Nov 1, 00:00 UTC to Nov 14, 23:59 UTC, 2026, with $250,000 in prizes paid in NEAR across 13 tracks. Target Games With Real Economies and NFTs That Do Something. You need a public repo and a public demo post on X, and a README written to HACKATHON.md with do X, see Y steps. Only NEAR integration code built during the event window is judged. An existing product can be the base if you disclose it with a branch or tag diff. Entering is not a promise of a prize.

2. Tag your starting point

Before you write new code, tag the repo as it is today, for example a tag named pre-hackathon, so judges can see exactly what you built during the event.

3. Build one new NEAR feature inside the window

Pick one: Chain Signatures so the guild account can pay members on another chain, the 1-Click Swap SDK for a new buyer route, or items whose split rule changes after each resale. Keep it to what you can finish.

4. Write the README judges will follow

Write steps like: do this, see that. Sign a roll call, see its hash. Sell the Ember Crown from Base, see three payouts on NEAR. Link the tag diff.

5. Post the demo on X and submit

40 min

Post a short video of the new feature with the repo link, then submit before Nov 14, 23:59 UTC.
